Looking ahead at the event schedule for the next two weeks, we have another fundraiser scheduled. Fundraising is one of the events that we have had alot of practice putting together. Lots of people that are in charge are first timers. They are brave souls that probably missed the meeting….hence the assignment. No Worries!!! The North Bowl staff can erase the questions one by one. I find it incredable, how many people that volunteer their services,their talents, and their time to help others in need.They come from all walks of life and all social economic levels to do good for others

There are multiple ways to raise the money. All are fairly simple. Some formats require more preparation time then others,but they all have the common features of fun, laughter and a good time.You can check the fundraiser tab on the web site for details. We have raised alot of much needed cash for many good causes……thank goodness for our customers.

Working in a bowling center has always been alot of fun. No two days are ever the same, and you never know who you are going to meet. It is a continual learning experience.

From an early age, we are encouraged to experience teamwork thru: t-ball,little league, pop warner football, soccer,boy scouts, girl scouts,choir, debate,drama club….and the list goes on. After graduation we are thrusted into the work place…an although the teamwork focus is still important ,it is distilled by layers of bureacracy and or management levels. The bigger the business, the more distillation.

Bowling has always provided a break through regarding teamwork. It has individual rewards and segments, but the focus is on the team. Whether it be league bowling, or a company bowling party, the environment is all about having fun,learning to trust and appreciate your fellow worker,and working towards a common goal.It reminds us to stay focused, but to bring along our sense of humor. Peoples' personalities can change in the right environment. The meek office person all of a sudden becomes an aggressive team leader on the bowling lanes….probably very few businesses approach the number of "high fives" we see every day.

Although we have some specific team building programs and activities available at the center, sometimes is just as effective to take time away from the work place…possibly to "Bar B-Q the Boss!".Contact the center for details.

 The annual Kids Bowl Free Summer Program has started. The program allows two free games a day for each child under the age of 18. Approximatly 30,000 cards will have been distributed across the city by the end of this next week.The program, which also contains a high value family pass for a one time charge of $23.95,guarantees some inexpensive,quality family time.Thew program started April 15th and runs to the end of August.The program is available at different centers across the city. Weekly coupons are distributed over the inter net.
